Tilda Swinton is an actress, model, fashion icon, and performing artist who was born on November 5, 1960 in London, England. Swinton’s interest in acting started in college. She furthered her training at schools such as the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Traverse Theater where she appeared in various theatre productions. Her early screen acting includes the series Zastrozzi: A Romance and the films Caravaggio, The Last of England, and Edward II. She later rose to international prominence from 2001 onwards with films such as The Deep End, The Beach, Vanilla Sky, and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
