Steve Harvey is a comedian, actor, radio host, and television host who was born on January 17, 1957 in Welch, West Virginia. Harvey made his performing debut in 1985 at a comedy club in Ohio. For many years he struggled financially as a travelling comedian before getting his break as the host of the show It’s Showtime at the Apollo. He then landed a starring role in the show Me and the Boys before getting his own show, The Steve Harvey Show in 1996. He has also appeared in films such as The Fighting Temptations, Racing Stripes and the filmed version of The Original Kings of Comedy. He is also a popular TV host, and bestselling author. His book titled Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man was the inspiration for the Think Like a Man series of films.
