Steve Carell is an American comedian, actor, writer, and producer from the greater Boston area. While studying history in university Carell performed in an improv comedy troupe. He later toured with a theater company performing comedy musicals, and performed with the comedy troupe The Second City. His film debut was in 1991 in Curly Sue. He made many TV appearances in shows including Saturday Night Live and The Daily Show. He later starred in the series The Office before playing the lead character in the film The 40-Year-Old-Virgin.
