Nina Dobrev is an actress and model who was born on January 9, 1989 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Nina moved to Canada at age two and grew up performing ballet and gymnastics in school. She later took an arts program at an art school, studied sociology in university, and studied acting at an acting studio before deciding to choose acting as something to do full-time. 2006 was the year she debuted in film and television; she appeared in the films Away From Her and Playing House, and landed a recurring role in the series Degrassi: The Next Generation. Dobrev has also accrued various awards including 3 People’s Choice Awards, 3 Young Hollywood Awards, and 8 Teen Choice Awards.
