Nicki Minaj is a Trinidadian-born rapper, singer, songwriter and actress. Nicki went to an art-focused high school where she learned how to act. She wanted to become an actress but that endeavor failed, so she started working regular jobs. She later chose to focus on music. In 2007 she released her first mixtape “Playtime Is Over. “ She released another “Sucka Free” in 2008. And after getting signed she released her debut album Pink Friday in 2010. Nicki has also accrued numerous awards including: 3 MTV Music Awards, 4 Teen Choice Awards, and 10 BET Awards.
