He had his big break when the song he wrote for Mario titled “Let Me Love You” became a chart topping hit, which lead to his signing to Def Jam Recordings and the release of his debut album In My Own Words in 2006. Ne-Yo has also appeared in multiple tv shows and films. Awards he has won include 2 BET Awards, 2 MOBO Awards, and 2 Soul Train Awards.
