Jared Leto is an American singer, songwriter, actor, and director born in Louisiana. Leto grew up around many people involved in art, music, photography, and theater. He started getting involved in music at a young age with his first instrument being the piano. After graduating from high school he went on to study at a visual arts school where, as a student, he made a film in which he starred. He has acted in multiple films and television shows such as Fight Club, American Psycho, and My So-Called Life. He formed the successful rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars in 1998 in which he has released the albums 30 Seconds to Mars (2002), A Beautiful Lie (2005), This Is War (2009), Love, Lust, and Faith and Dreams (2013).
