Charli XCX is an English singer and songwriter from Essex. Charli started writing music at age 14 and started working on her first album. She started getting a following around the world when she posted songs of hers on her MySpace profile in 2008. This lead to her discover by a party promoter who invited her to perform at various raves and parties. She released her first mixtapes in 2012 titled Heartbreaks and Earthquakes in May, her second one Super Ultra in November, and her first official album True Romance in 2013. Awards she has won include 1 Hitmaker of the Year Award, 1 Best New Artist Awards, and 1 YouTube Music Award.
