Bruce Springsteen is a singer, songwriter, and musician who was born on September 23, 1949 in Long Branch, New Jersey. Springsteen’s interest to pursue music was sparked at young age when he saw Elvis Presley performing on a television show and by listening to songs by Frank Sinatra. After getting a guitar as a gift, he learned to play and started performing for people in New Jersey. Over the years he performed with other musicians and in 1973 he released his first of over 17 albums called Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J. Awards he has won include 1 Best Traditional Folk Album Award, 1 Best Contemporary Folk Album Award, and 3 Best Rock Award.
