Bill Murray is an American actor and comedian from the suburbs of Chicago. Murray has 8 siblings, 3 of which are also actors (John Murray, Joel Murray, and Brian Doyle-Murray). In high school he was the lead singer of a rock band and acted in various theater productions. He later started performing comedy at The Second City, and in 1975 he made his first television appearance in Saturday Night Live with Howard Cosell. After rising to prominence he starred in films such as Meatballs, Stripes, Tootsie, and Ghostbusters. In 2016, he starred in the epic fantasy adventure film The Jungle Book as Baloo.
