Ansari got his start in comedy performing at notable venues such as the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, and collaborated with other up-and-coming comedians to make a number of short films. As his career grew, he started turning up on television and in films, appearing in Human Giant, Reno 911!, Scrubs, The Rocker, Observe and Report, 30 Minutes or Less, and What’s Your Number? He is perhaps best known for his role on NBC's long-running hit Parks and Recreation. Ansari has also released a number of his stand-up comedy specials, and is the creator and star of the Netflix series Master of None.
