Series Snapshot ~ 5/15/2025

Many of last week’s shows have held fast at number one, but we’re seeing new contenders making waves across the board.

Netflix dramedy The Four Seasons continues to hold its number one spot, but is in close pursuit by new limited series, Forever - a teen drama about navigating romance during a pivotal moment in young adulthood. Forever was created by Mara Brock Akil, and adapted from the novel of the same name by Judy Blume. The series stars Lovie Simone and Michael Cooper Jr. and is currently number one in several countries.

On Hulu, 9-1-1 has taken the lead as its 8th season finale premieres tonight. The first-responder drama stars Angela Bassett and was recently renewed for a 9th season.

HBO’s The Last of Us retains its spot this week- by a significant margin; the Bella Ramsey led drama is most watched on the platform in nearly every country.

Also undefeated is Amazon’s Reacher, continuing its chart-domination as most watched in the U.S every day this week.

While AppleTV’s Your Friends and Neighbors still retains its top spot, Evan Goldberg’s industry comedy The Studio, starring Seth Rogen, has shot up the charts to number two. The Studio got great reception when it came out in March- but its resurgence this week is likely in part due to the 8th and final episode of the season airing May 7th, as well as the recent news that it has been renewed for a second season. AppleTV may be marketing the series more aggressively now that it’s a confirmed hit, and audiences seem excited by the continuation of a self-aware satire about movie-making in the “reboot era”.

Star Wars : Andor continues its galactic dominance this week with its last batch of episodes, where it has remained at the top of the Disney+ charts. However, with the conclusion of its 21st season, Grey’s Anatomy is giving the empire a run for its money and clinching the number 2 spot.
