Notes from the Rep Biz - 6-15-2018

A Kick-Ass star to WME, an Emmy winner to ICM Partners, and a new PR company takes the stage. It’s Friday and welcome to another edition of Notes from the Rep Biz!
 
At WME:
 
Actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson has signed with Andrew Dunlap, Patrick Whitesell and Rich Cook. Taylor-Johnson won a Golden Globe for his performance in Nocturnal Animals, and has been in comic book films Kick-Ass and Avengers: Age of Ultron. He will next be seen in Outlaw King opposite Chris Pine, and an adaptation of James Frey’s book A Million Little Pieces, which he also co-wrote. He remains managed by Cynthia Pett-Dante at Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
 
Writer, director and producer Larysa Kondracki has signed with Adriana Alberghetti and Blake Fronstin. Kondracki is the showrunner of Amazon’s Picnic at Hanging Rock adaptation, and she also directed the pilot episode. She also co-wrote and directed the sex-trafficking drama The Whistleblower, and has directed episodes of Better Call Saul, Legion, and The Americans.
 
The first latina cast member of SNL, Melissa Villasenor has signed with Arielle Mesirow and Sharon Jackson. Villasenor has also done voice work for shows such as Adventure Time and American Dad. She remains repped by manager Tatiana Sarah at Primary Wave.
 
At ICM Partners:
 
Prolific actor and director William H. Macy has signed with Andrew Rogers. Macy can currently be seen on Showtime’s Shameless, which just began production on its ninth season. He also recently directed and starred in the indie Krystal.
 
British actor Toby Kebbell has signed with Kevin Hussey, Matt Smith, and Steve Alexander. Kebbel is best known for playing bad guys such as Koba in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. He will next be seen in Karyn Kusama’s Destroyer opposite Nicole Kidman. He continues to be agented by Samira Higham at Independent Talent Group in the U.K.
 
At Paradigm:
 
Unscripted TV agent Pierre Brogan is re-joining Paradigm, where he was an agent twenty years ago. Brogan comes from Topspin Content, and will be focusing specifically on unscripted television packaging.
 
PR Notes:
 
Amanda Sullivan, Meridith O’Sullivan Wasson, and Sarah Levinson Rothman have officially launched The Lede Company. Their client list includes such names as Rhianna, Will Smith, Charlize Theron, Lady Gaga and Emma Stone.
