A Bachelor franchise alum to WME! The creator of Bayhem to CAA! More Heated Rivalry actors have new reps, and Damian Chazelle rounds out the cast for his new movie! All this and more in today’s Notes From the Rep Biz!

 

At WME:

Composer Kangding Ray is now agented by WME. Ray is the composer for the film Sirat which was nominated for a Golden Globe.

 

The Bachelor alum Tayshia Adams is also a new sign for WME. Adams was a Bachelor contestant on season 23, then appeared on Bachelor in Paradise for season 6, and then was the titular Bachelorette for season 16. But Adams is not done with the reality TV world, she will be a judge of HGTV’s Bachelor Mansion Takeover. She’s also a host on various entertainment networks with appearances on E!’s coverage of the Oscars and Entertainment Tonight.   

 

 

At CAA:

Filmmaker and producer Robert Zemeckis is now agented by CAA. Zemeckis has a numerous parade of hits over the years, from the Back to the Future trilogy, Forrest Gump, Cast Away, and last year’s Here. He’s currently in post on The Last Miss Parrish for Netflix, starring Jennifer Lopez and Isabel May.

 

Filmmaker Michael Bay has signed with CAA. Bay is the mind behind such films as The Rock, five Transformers movies, Pain & Gain and many others. Bay’s most recent film was 2022’s Ambulance.  

 

 

At UTA:

Nightcrawler himself, Alan Cumming has signed with UTA. Cumming is a prolific actor who has recently been seen hosting the mystery/reality series The Traitors now in its fourth season on Peacock. He will next be reprising his role as Nightcrawler in Avengers: Doomsday set to be released this Christmas.

 

R. Scott Gemmillcreator of Emmy winning hit The Pitt is now agented by UTAGemmill got his start working on the Friday the 13th series and then moved onto JAG and joined E.R. in its sixth season. The Pitt was just renewed for a third season.

 

 

OTHER NOTES AROUND TOWN

Actress, comedian, and director Rebel Wilson has signed with Range Media Partners. Wilson hails from Australia and she first broke out in Paul Feig’s 2011 hit Bridesmaids. From there she was in Pitch Perfect and its sequels, JoJo Rabbit and many others. She recently just completed her second directorial project Girl Group which stars Randall ParkJennifer Coolidge, and Nicole Scherzinger

 

Heated Rivalry actor Robbie G.K. is now managed by Amplified. G.K. plays a smoothie shop barista on the HBO hit. He has also had roles on Sheriff Country, and Overcompensating.

 

And speaking of Heated Rivalry, another actor from the hit series who has new management is François Arnaud at Impression Entertainment. Arnaud plays a Hockey captain in the Hockey romance. He will next be seen in A24’s Fucktoys and starred in last year’s Sundance hit Twinless opposite Dylan O’Brien.

 

 

MUSIC NOTES

Rapper Nas is a new sign for Wasserman Music Group. Nas burst onto the rap scene with 1992 Illmatic. This past year Nas has been part of the Legend Has It… series of albums and a tour.

CASTING NOTES

Good Place alum William Jackson Harper has been cast in FX’s Cry Wolf, joining Olivia Colman and Brie Larson. The limited series was created by Sarah Treem and adapted from the Danish series Ulven Kommer. The series is a psychological thriller following Colman’s character investigating child abuse allegations into Larson made by her teenage daughter (Alyvia Alyn Lind).

 

Michelle Williams is set to star in Damien Chazelle’s next film. It is not known what the currently untitled drama is about, but rumor has it that it will be set in a prison. Cillian Murphy and Daniel Craig are also set to star.

 

Netflix has set Alix Earle to star in a reality series which will follow Earle’s daily lifeAlix Earle is a TikToker who gained fame through her “Get Ready With Me” series. She was on last year’s season of Dancing With the Stars and made it up to second place.
