Agency Notes

  • At WME:
    • Vince Vaughn has traded CAA for WME, where his new point will be Adam Venit. His feature career has suffered some in recent years, but he could be poised for a major comeback/reinvention with the upcoming second season of HBO's True Detective.
    • Filmmaker Joseph White, whose short "The Brain Hack" has gained considerable acclaim, has signed with Mike Esola
    • Rising playwright Chiara Atik is now with Derek Zasky
  • At UTA:
    • Model and actress Charlotte McKinney has signed with a team that includes Darren Boghosian and Max Stubblefield
  • At ICM Partners:
    • Danish actor/writer/producer Casper Christensen (Klown) has signed with Pete Stone.
  • At APA:
    • Veteran speaking and personal appearance agent Betsy Berg, who was previously at The Agency Group, and ICM before that, has joined the APA's New York office. 
  • At Paradigm:
    • TV lit agent Sean Zeid has come over from Kaplan Stahler to run Paradigm's domestic alternative TV division.
  • At The Kaplan Stahler Agency:
    • Wasting no time replacing Zeid, Kaplan Stahler has brought veteran agent Andy Stabile over from CAA to be their head of alternative TV.

Management Notes

  • The aforementioned Joseph White has also found management representation, signing with 3 Arts, where his reps will be Will Rowbotham and Richard Abate.
  • Former APA comedy booking agent Tiffany Schloesser has joined Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment as a manager.
  • Earlier this year, managers Noah Rosen, Britton Rizzio and Greg Shephard departed Circle of Confusion to start Writ Large, a new management company with a focus on writers and directors. The group has brought a healthy percentage of its former clients over to the new company.

PR Notes

  • Publicists Craig Bankey and Kevin McLaughlin have joined forces to start a new banner, Main Stage Public Relations. Bankey was previously running his own eponymous shop, while McLaughlin comes to the new venture from BWR. Bankey will be based in LA, with McLaughlin based in New York.
