Rosie Perez is an actress, talkshow host, author, and choreographer who was born on September 6, 1964 in Brooklyn, New York. Perez’s career started after being discovered by an agent who asked her to dance on Soul Train. She was then noticed by filmmaker Spike Lee which led to her starring role in her first film Do The Right Thing. In the 1990’s she appeared in shows and films such as 21 Jump Street, In Living Color, Night on Earth, White Men Can’t Jump, and The 24 Hour Woman. She has also hosted on The View. Awards she has won include 1 Special Mention Award, 1 Gracie Award, and 1 Fantafestival Award.
