Bette Midler is an American singer, songwriter, actress, comedian, and film producer from Hawaii. After graduating from high school, Midler studied drama in university before dropping out. She landed a part in a film called Hawaii and used the money she earned to go to New York City to explore stage theater. She released her debut album The Divine Miss M in 1972 which was a major success. She later appeared in multiple television shows and films. With over 13 albums to her name Midler has accrued many awards such as 3 Primetime Emmy Awards, 3 Golden Globe Awards, and 7 American Comedy Awards.
