Weekend Report, March 25, 2013
A robust box office weekend saw the fortunes of Dreamworks Animation take a turn for the better after a strong opening for The Croods (banishing memories of the holiday season disappointment, Rise of the Guardians). And speaking of fortunes reversing, Gerard Butler and Antoine Fuqua, both of whom have taken their lumps on recent projects, made a fine showing with a $30.5M opening on Olympus Has Fallen, to finish in second place.
