Steven Spielberg is director, screenwriter, and producer born in Cincinnati and raised in Arizona. Spielberg’s career started at age 12 when he made a home movie. He continued his filmmaking hobby making many amateur films which were cast by his class members. He furthered his knowledge of the film industry by interning at Universal Studios during his time in university. He later made his professional debut directing a pilot of the show Night Gallery in 1969. Spielberg rose to international fame after directing the hit film Jaws in 1975. Awards he has won include 1 Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, 3 Academy Awards, and 3 Golden Globe Awards.
