After studying with Australian Theater for Young People, and Second City in the U.S., she began to get work in film and television. After gaining positive notice in the film Bridesmaids, she landed her breakthrough role as Fat Amy in Pitch Perfect. She has since gone on to star in and develop her own projects, and is one of the most recognizable faces in contemporary comedy.
