Debra Messing is an American actress from Rhode Island. In her high school years Messing performed in various school productions such as Grease and Annie. She has always been interested in acting; however, it was after studying at a theater studio in Britain that she felt more confident to pursue this career. After earning a degree in Theater Arts and a Masters in Fine Arts, she went on to appear in shows and films such as NYPD Blue, Walk in the Clouds, Seinfield, and Will & Grace.
