Brandy Norwood is an American singer, songwriter, and actress from Los Angeles. Norwood grew up in a very musical family. Her childhood consisted of learning at a performing arts school while performing as a backup singer for various singing groups. She later landed a recurring role in the series Thea in 1993 before getting signing to Atlantic Records and releasing her self-titled debut album Brandy in 1994 at age 15. She later starred in the sitcom Moesha in 1996 which became a major success. Norwood has over 5 albums to her name and has also appeared in films such as Cinderella and Double Platinum.
