Blake Shelton is an American singer and television personality from Oklahoma. Shelton started singing at age 12 and also learned to play the guitar. He started writing songs and after graduating from high school he chose to pursue doing music fulltime. Shelton released his self-titled debut album in 2001 which was a major success. He has also made numerous appearances on television, hosting shows such as the Academy of Country Music Awards and Saturday Night Live, and serving as one of the coaches on NBC's The Voice. He has won numerous awards which include 1 ACM Award, 5 CMT Music Awards, and 8 American Country Awards.
